Dimitris Papoulis is appointed as the new CEO and Eftichios Vassilakis as new member of the Board of Directors
Trade Estates REIC, during the meeting of the Board of Directors held on September 2, 2022 approved the appointment of Mr Dimitrios Papoulis as the new Chief Executive Officer, a position previously held by the Chairman of the BoD of the company, Mr. Vassilis Fourlis. At the same time, the BoD appointed Mr. Eftichios Vassilakis as a Non-Executive Member of the Board, replacing Mr. Apostolos Petalas due to his resignation.
Mr. Dimitris Papoulis, along with his new duties, will retain the position of the Chairman of the Investment Committee, a position held since the establishment of the company. He is an executive with a successful career and many years of experience in senior management positions in the retail and commercial development industry.
Since 2015 he held the position of the Managing Director in the company South Sofia Ring Mall EOOD. In the past he was the CEO of Marinopoulos Coffee Company SA/Starbucks as well as Marinopoulos Business Consultants SA/GAP while holding senior management positions in important commercial companies. He holds a BA in Economics and Business from Macalester College, MN, USA (1988) and an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics (1989), as well as an Executive Education Diploma in Real Estate Management from Harvard Business School (2019).
At the same time, due to the participation of AUTOHELLAS ATEE in the share capital of Trade Estates REIC, Mr. Eftichios Vassilakis, CEO of Autohellas S.A., was elected as Director, Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Eftichios Vassilakis is the Chairman of Aegean and Olympic Air while he participates in the board of directors of other companies, such as LAMDA DEVELOPMENT S.A., TEMES, the Greek Tourism Confederation (S.E.T.E.), the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and Endeavor Greece. He is one of the founders & Member of the Board of Directors of “Marketing Greece” as well as of the partnership for the touristic and cultural promotion of Athens “This is Athens”.
Mr. Vassilis Fourlis, Chairman of the Board of Trade Estates REIC stated: “Dimitris’ many years of experience in the wider sector of the retail market and commercial developments make him the most suitable to lead Trade Estates REIC to achieve the plans for dynamic growth in the coming years.
